ARCTIC CAT'S ALTERRA 600... SOMETHING NEW UNDER THE MUD!!

The latest Alterra equipped with a brand new engine!!

We haven't heard much about Arctic Cat's ATV/UTV division lately, but it looks like that's about to change as the Minnesota manufacturer just unveiled an all-new ATV – the 2022 Arctic Cat Alterra 600 EPS.

When Arctic Cat says the Alterra 600 EPS is new, they're not just talking about minor changes. This mountain bike is equipped with a new engine, a new transmission and a new chassis.

At the heart of the Arctic Cat Alterra 600 EPS is an all-new 600cc single-cylinder engine that produces a claimed 45 horsepower. The engine is designed and built by Arctic Cat and it is an overhead cam design with an oversized air filter. It's mated to a CVTech CVT system and a more durable drivetrain.

The new engine is housed in an all-new chassis that features a lower center of gravity and new steering geometry. The front and rear double-wishbone suspension offers 9.0 inches of travel and up to 12.25 inches of ground clearance. The new chassis can be fitted with 27-inch tires.

Not just a standalone model, there are four versions of the Arctic Cat Alterra 600 EPS available. The base model comes with 25-inch tires and steel wheels, but you can upgrade to the Alterra 600 EPS XT for aluminum wheels and a premium bumper. Next up is the Alterra 600 EPS LTD with 15-inch alloy wheels, 27-inch tires, composite racks and a winch. The flagship is the Alterra 600 EPS SE which has the same features as the LTD, but is dressed in Phantom Grey.

The Alterra 600 EPS is available in four different models:

• Base model in Arctic Cat Medium Green and Black with steel wheels and 25-inch tires.
• Alterra 600 EPS XT with aluminum wheels and 25-inch tires with 11.5-inch ground clearance and a premium bumper. Available in a new Phantom Grey colour.
• Alterra 600 EPS LTD with 14-inch aluminum wheels and 27-inch tires with 12.25-inch ground clearance, composite racks, premium bumper and winch. Available in a new Fossil color.
• Alterra 600 EPS SE with 14-inch aluminum wheels and 27-inch tires with 12.25-inch ground clearance, composite racks, premium bumper and winch. Available in Phantom Grey.
